In the thick of it - instead of just being there! Opening a Grand Hotel is more enthralling than many action movies. This is especially true when a team of dedicated hoteliers pursue the goal of guiding the time-honored tradition of the luxury hospitality industry into a new era. Kameha Grand Zurich plays with clichés and also breaks with one or another taboo in the branch. Here hassle is preprogrammed - just as experiences that the guest will not have in any other house in the world. For a Grand Hotel is being opened here that is ultimately unique in its own right. Carsten and Susanne Rath have opened dozens of hotels on four continents. They provide information which we as guests are not privy to even off the record: Are we allowed to check in in flip-flops? How far does freedom actually go in a Grand Hotel? How come that guests in some hotels feel out of place? What trends have a future in the Grand Hotel business, and what relics from old times are the snows of yesteryear? Carsten and Susanne Rath are Grand Hoteliers out of passion and staunch service and quality enthusiasts. They have been trekking through the world of the Grand Hotel business together for many years now. They have managed and opened houses on four continents. Ranking amongst the stations of their career - alongside a host of others- are Grande Roche in Cape Town, Kempinski Lufthansa Center in Peking, Taschenbergpalais in Dresden, Ritz-Carlton Beach-and Golf Resorts in Naples/Florida, and Hotel Adlon in Berlin. In 2008, they initiated the brand Kameha Grand, and under this name have already opened Grand Hotels in Bonn and Zurich, as well as the Kameha Suite in Frankfurt. They re-interpret the Grand Hotellerie - in quite a different way. Everything is now oriented around the guest. Carsten K. Rath was awarded prizes as the founder and CEO of Kameha Hotels & Resprts as Hotel Manager of the Year, as Host of the Year and as Employee of the Year. In Switzerland, Kameha Grand Zurich was instantly selected amongst the best 10 city hotels.
